Never give ivermectin to a lappie!
Ne jamais donner d'ivermectin à un Finnois de Laponie parce que ça pourrait le tuer!
C'est ce que la famille Eurasia a appris à ses dépends cette semaine quand notre Beowulf bien aimé est décédé après avoir reçu une petite dose d'ivermectin. C'était la première fois, et la dernière, que cette drogue était utilisée pour un de nos finnois... Tu nous manque énormément Bebe....
La nécropsie confirme qu'il n'y avait aucune lésion interne ni maladie. Le test ADN confirme la présence du gène MDR1. La lappie est donc une race qui devrait être classée comme les collies, porteur du gène MDR1.

It is something our Eurasia family learned this week when our beloved happy lappie baby Beowulf died after he received a small dose of ivermectin. It was the very first time, and the last one, that drug was used for one of our lappie... We miss you very much Bebe...
The necropsy shown NO sign of any sickness or trauma. The DNA test shown the presence of MDR1 gene. The lappie should be classed with collies type breeds that may carry MDR1 gene.

Ce chien est la digne copie de son grand-père. Fils de notre chiot noir exporté en Finlande, Kanadianbear Kodiak of Eurasia, petit fils de notre Falco Solo of Eurasia.

German EURASIER Clubs
A lot of breeders and owners in our Eurasier world pretend that only German Eurasiers are from excellent quality. Many will also pretend that the German Eurasier breed clubs (EKW, KZG and ZG) are the best and work together to protect our breed.

Why we now see this club also breeding and registering pure bred Eurasiers in Germany?

Some people will probably be chocked by this new mixt breed....
but the Eurasier was at first created as a mix breed itself!
Crossbreeding Chow, Samoyed and Wolfspitz.....
to create a gentle companion of great beauty : our beloved Eurasier!
The Elo is registered with UCI... not FCI...
similar in North America as a breed registered only UKC and not recognized AKC or CKC!
What we should think of that breed???
